Dr. Camilo Leal was born in Bogota, Colombia. He attended El Bosque University School of Dentistry, in Bogota, Colombia, where he earned his DDS degree and completed his four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency. Following his surgical training in Colombia, Dr. Leal built a successful private practice in Bogota, exclusive in Oral and maxillofacial Surgery in which he worked for more than 14 years. During the same period, he joined El Bosque University as a clinical professor.
He participated as an instructor and lecturer for different training programs in dental implant placement around Latin America, teaching advanced techniques to hundreds of dentists from around the world.
Dr. Leal became a dentist in the USA after he attended Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester for four years. He then became a full-time Assistant Professor in clinical dentistry and dental surgery, teaching the residents surgical techniques for extractions and dental implants, among others. Currently he has privileges in clinical dentistry at the Strong Hospital URMC in Rochester, NY.
He enjoys flying, traveling, and spending time with his beautiful wife and wonderful son, and friends. Dr. Leal has dedicated his life to oral surgery, teaching his colleagues and helping the community for over 25 years, and considers it a blessing to help the people of NYS improve their oral health.
